Hi! Long time no blog eh? That’s because I haven’t had any America-related news.

But just to update my situation, Joe is coming to visit me in Australia in December, and I may or may not be moving to America next year *ghasp* but yes, that is yet to be determined.

Kbye!

*sigh* It’s getting near the end of my trip… But this weekend Joe and I are driving to Fargo! There will be plenty of pics.

Also I thought I’d say i tried a PBJ sandwich and grape soda.

Day 9?

April 20, 2009

Hey sorry, long time no update right? (yeah like one day)

Yesterday was Joe’s birthday, he’s all old and 21 now… hehehe. So yeah, we just hung out and I stayed away from the computer. He still managed to plurk regularly from his iPhone though. As usual.

We went to the Outback Steakhouse for dinner, it’s a steakhouse with an Australian theme. Yeah, the only thing that was Australian about that place was the decor and some of the dishes’ names… oh and I heard John Butler Trio playing when I walked in. I was tempted to pay with Australian currency but I thought we might get into trouble for that… Oh and I was disappointed that the drinking age was still 21 in that establishment. It really ruined the atmosphere of an Australian steakhouse because I wasn’t allowed to drink! AAAAAAAND they didn’t have any Australian beers that I’d drink back at home… No Tooheys, no Carlton Draught… I wasn’t expecting it, but there wasn’t any James Squire either… But yeah, you can’t even find that everywhere in Australia lol.

Oh and after that, and my confusion of how they get their tip if they give me back my credit card before I tell them how much tip they get, we went to the video store to pick up Joe’s free birthday movie. We got Marley and Me because it was the only DECENT new release he hadn’t seen. So when we went to the register we found out he had $8 in overdue fees. Yeah, the movie wasn’t free.

Day 6

April 18, 2009

Alrighty. So yesterday afternoon (after Joe had class) we went to check out lake Calhoun. But on the way Joe had a bit of trouble getting there, he almost got into at least 1 accident. But no worries, I’m still ok. hehe.

Joe concentrating on the road, lol

Day 5

April 17, 2009

Alrighty so yesterday Kendra and I explored downtown Minneapolis…

Day 4?

April 16, 2009

Hehe, sorry for not updating yesterday… But I didn’t do a whole lot.

I walked Joe to class, then went to starbucks. You know they don’t get you to sign when you use a credit card! And yeah so I sat in there a while drinking coffee and reading, there were some girls sitting by me studying animal mating habits. They said something about sperm helping each other by forming a train, then made “choo choo” noises. It was funny.

Later, after Joe was done with class we went back and ate some food and watched Freaks and Geeks. Then he did his homework. And after he did homework we basically just sat around watching tv. Oh and we made cookies…CookiesHe even gave roomie some, I was so proud of him hehe. Him and his room mate will be friends!

Today I’m going to hang with Kendra while Joe is in class, we’re going downtown. Should be fun!

Oh btw, I’ve learned a bit about American… um… life/culture/stuff… I know they like to talk… aaaand, everything is bigger and their food is different. The bread is sweet, the orange juice is yellow and the eggs are pure white on the outside (with yellow, not orange yolks) and their cheddar cheese is ORANGE not yellow… Oh and starbucks puts cream in their mochas, that wasn’t fun haha.

Day 3

April 13, 2009

Ok, so yeah it’s day three BUT I’m going to recount yesterday.

Well Joe has an exam today, so yesterday he studied like a fiend and I watched Psych. And later we went for a walk around his university. He took lots of pictures.

Day 2

April 13, 2009

KAY! So I’ve been here a couple of days now… ish. Aaaand. Well I should say what happened.

Ok Joe got lost on the way home from the airport, we went the long way. That was fun. Then yesterday we went to SUPER Target… Such a thing exists. Its like a whole shopping centre, but ALL Target. And then we watched some Psych… Then James and Josh came over (Joe’s brothers) and we watched a movie and drank beer and they all teased me about my accent… haha.

OK, so now its day 2 and I have some photos from out the window… you all know you want to see.

Oh look its a flagBuildingsimg_03521
